Brooklands is a family run Guest House and your hosts Ray and Jenny Dagwell provide the kind of hospitality, comfort and value that causes their Guests to return year after year.

Situated on King Edward Avenue, North Shore, this master of the Over 50s niche comes into its own with its ability to accommodate the specific needs of the young at heart. Wheelchair access is from the rear of the property, leading onto the corridor and ground floor rooms. Two stair lifts to the first floor also make every room a ground floor room.

The establishment's strong relationship with a local mobility shop means that the hire of wheelchairs, walkers, mobility scooters and bath stools can be reserved in advance ready for your arrival.

Good breakfasts and evening meals are also a priority for Brooklands. Guests can be sure of a great choice of quality fresh home-cooked food from their menus. The licensed bar and lounge has a selection of beers, wines and spirits, where you'll often find evening activities, games and entertainment for your pleasure.

The mix of 15 Rooms includes Double, Triple, Twin and Single.

Touches Take

Brooklands is the place tongue-in-cheekily described by your hosts as having a strictly “recycled teenagers” only policy. Indeed, there is even the requirement that if you look under 65 then prove that you are over 50 ! Ray and Jen’s commitment to preserving their close but not too close haven for the UK’s having worked hard population is second to none. From their informal but well explained welcome in the Guest lounge, to Jenny’s famous home cooking, perhaps all that remains to be said is that when it comes to serving the specific needs of the Over 50s, Brooklands is Blackpool’s best example of being dedicated to their demographic.

Local Area

Located at North Shore just past Gynn Square, King Edward Avenue is the third road on the right. All that Blackpool has to offer is mere minutes away, with Cleveleys and Fleetwood to the North of Brooklands.
