Blackpool Transport's Free Bus and Tram Travel for Service Personnel

Blackpool Transport are offering free travel for Service Personnel of the Armed Forces on Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 November 2018

The local transport company will give service personnel, their spouses and children, free travel on all Blackpool Transport service buses and trams on production of a Mod 90 service card or veterans badge.

The company have also purchased 100 Poppy lapel pin badges directly from the Royal British Legion to mark the centenary of Armistice Day. The pin badges will be gifted to 100 customers on board both trams and buses in the lead up to Remembrance Sunday.

Staff on board the services will also be performing their own acts of kindness throughout Sunday, gifting free travel passes to some of their customers.

Blackpool buses and trams are currently displaying large poppies on board and on Remembrance Sunday will stop service and turn off their engines as a mark of respect during the two-minute silence.

As a company we are passionate about showing respect for the heroes that fought and continue to fight for our freedom and safety. We want to remove any barriers for veterans or service personnel to attend any services across the Fylde Coast by providing free travel for them, and their family, as a small gesture of respect and appreciation for their great efforts.
