Blackpool Ghost Walks is back to celebrate its 10th Anniversary

Blackpool Ghost Walks Group

Blackpool Ghost Walks is back to celebrate its 10th Anniversary with more tales of terror, horrifying hauntings and ghostly goings-on!

With UK lockdown restrictions being eased, local award-winning paranormal events company Supernatural Events is able to bring back its thrilling and chilling Blackpool Ghost Walks for the summer season. The spooky strolls celebrate their tenth anniversary this year with stories at locations old and new from the master of the macabre, The Victorian Ghost Hunter!

Join your ghost host, The Victorian Ghost Hunter, aka Haunted Blackpool author and founder of Supernatural Events Stephen Mercer, on a Blackpool Ghost Walk and he will guide you from the Promenade through the town’s streets and lanes stopping at some of Blackpool’s most important (and most haunted) buildings, attractions and outside spaces to tell you of his dearly-departed friends… spooks, phantoms, spectres… GHOSTS! At each location you will hear tales of terror, stories of the supernatural, horrifying hauntings, myth, mystery and even of murder!

The spooky strolls should have celebrated their tenth anniversary at Easter however due to COVID-19 the tours had to be cancelled. The great news for those interested in learning of the resort’s ghosts and ghouls is that as restrictions have begun to ease the tours can now be resurrected again from July 18 onwards.

I can’t believe it has been ten years since the first public Blackpool Ghost Walks took place; how time flies. I absolutely love hosting these tours, telling those who join me of the town’s history, heritage and of course its hauntings. Due to COVID-19 some changes have been implemented however I am sure everyone will understand the reasons behind them. Currently places on each tour are limited to just five; I hope this will increase as more restrictions are eased by the government in relation to gatherings taking place in a public outside place. Social distancing measures between each person or household attending will be put in place and tickets will only be available to purchase online ensuring no contact is made between those attending etc. It will be strange walking with just five other people as in the past there could be up to 20 or more on any one tour. That aside I am counting down the days to starting again and celebrating ten years with some special supernatural stories.
