Full Board

Unveiled in 1989 to celebrate Blackpool Opera House's centenary, the Roll of Honour board situated inside the Winter Gardens Church Street entrance is a who's who of British showbusiness. A single word per entertainer sums up the calibre of performers over the years: Chaplin, Formby, Bassey, Forsyth and Cilla.

Occasionally an entire production gets to dominate a particular year on the board, such as 2009's Royal Variety Performance and 2011's Calendar Girls. Speaking of Calendar Girls, its famous "considerably bigger buns" line is now relevant for the Winter Gardens, as they need a considerably bigger yearly legends board following one final addition.

For 2015, A Christmas Carol starring Paul Nicholas has been immortalised in gold, completing a cavalcade of stars and shows which echoes the new and exciting era for the Winter Gardens, including the upcoming Blackpool Museum which will be housed in the Pavilion Theatre and Horseshoe area.
