April in Blackpool is what you'd expect...and then some ! As of 1st April, the Pleasure Beach is now open daily until 5th November. The same rule of thumb applies to the Tower Circus too, with the exception of most Fridays.
Needless to say, attraction wise the rollcall of ready is our stable of tried and tested, who tempt families and couples back year after year with their offering: Sandcastle Waterpark, Blackpool Zoo, Illuminasia and Merlin's Tower, Dungeons, SeaLife and Madame Tussauds - to name but a few.
Described as a combination of Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and Through The Looking Glass, Wonderland: The Musical whisks it way into the Winter Gardens Opera House, with Wendi Peters (Cilla Battersby-Brown, Coronation Street) as Queen of Hearts. Towards the end of the month, Dreamboats and Petticoats sails into the Church/Coronation Street venue too. Over at the Grand, Olivier Award Nominated Laura Pitt Pulford is Nell Gwynn.
Tradition is held proudly high with the return of The Junior Blackpool Dance Festival, which has been a regular at the Winter Gardens since 2010 and maintains its off-and-running-on-Easter-Monday-for-7-days heritage.
We are all for one and one for all ready to welcome and entertain you this Easter.
