Blackpool Anchor Event News

Following on from the success of the first ever Blackpool Music Run, the event will be back in 2019, on Father’s Day, Sunday 16 June. Organisers HN Taylor promise the event will be bigger and better than before with lots of new features. There will be a new route and distance for 2019, with the 10K now taking in the North Promenade past Gynn Square. Along with the new 10K route there will also be a 5K which will be open to people of ages 11 and above on the day of the event.

All participants will start and finish on the Comedy Carpet where the Festival Headland will host the famous Finishers Festival.

Tickets are on sale for both the 5K and 10K event, with early bird tickets priced at £16 and £20 respectively. All tickets purchased include Finishers Festival entry as standard. We are also pleased to announce that we will be partnering with global charity, “The Movember Foundation”, to raise funds and awareness for male health issues, Prostate Cancer, Testicular Cancer and Male Mental Health.

Blackpool Music Run 2018
Over 1000 people were involved in the first event, with local acts and artists performing all along the promenade. One of the highlights of the event was the Finishers Festival where tired runners, joggers, walkers and dancers were treated to performances from top acts including Hoosiers and Ska Face. It was also one of the last ever performances by Union J before the departure of Josh Cuthbert.
